Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the region, including Butler and Mercer, until 1 a.m. Tuesday.

DETAILED FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: Temperatures that were in the 80s in advance of Monday night’s thunderstorms will drop into the 70s overnight, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones said Monday night. Showers and storms will taper and clouds may break a bit. Some patchy fog may develop in the wake of these storms.

TUESDAY: Expect another hot and humid day with highs in the upper 80s, with the heat index in the lower 90s. Sunshine will return but a pop-up storm could develop during the day, especially in northern portions of the Miami Valley.

WEDNESDAY: Another hot day with highs in the upper 80s. More of the area will stay dry with sunshine and a few clouds.

THURSDAY: There will be sunshine and few clouds. There will be a slight chance for isolated showers or storms but most will stay dry. It will still be warm and muggy with highs in the middle 80s.

FRIDAY: We will end the week with another warm and muggy day. Highs stay in the middle 80s with some sunshine mixing in. A pop-up storm or two may develop, especially south.

SATURDAY: The unsettled patter continues into the weekend. Very warm and muggy in the middle to upper 80s. A few afternoon showers and storms are possible.
