Winter Weather Advisory: What to know about timing and road conditions

A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect from 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, until 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13,  for most of the Miami Valley.

In Effect for: Auglaize, Champaign, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Shelby counties in Ohio and Wayne County in Indiana

Timing: A complex storm system will bring rain and snow to the region. Snow showers will arrive from the south and spread north in the early afternoon and the northern Miami Valley will see a mix of snow and sleet.

Accumulation: Snow fall totals in and south of Dayton will be an inch or less. Areas to the north of I-70 may see two to four inches with more northern areas seeing higher snowfall.

Roads: Low temperatures overnight will lead to a slippery Thursday morning commute. Conditions may be difficult for travel Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
