We all make typos from time and time but every once in a while a misspelling becomes a thing of legend.
A parking lot at the Indianapolis Library Service Center recently fell victim to a rather ironic misspelling. According to an employee, a contractor repainting the entrance spelled library -- l-i-b-r-a-r-e-y.
At least he didn’t spell it l-i-b-e-r-r-y. Frequently I hear people refer to it as the “Liberry.” As a former high school LIBRARY student aid, please stop.
According to library officials, the mistake will be soon be corrected. No word on whether the contractor will be held back a year.
